  • Boys and Girls in the Modern World, a collection of short stories, was published as a doctoral dissertation by the University of Southern Mississippi, 2002.  It was self-published in 2005.
  • Nothing But Gas, a collection of short stories, was published as a master's thesis by the University of Southern Mississippi, 1999. It was self-published in 2005.
  • "Nothing But Gas" was nominated for inclusion in the Best New American Voices, 1998.
  • "Nothing But Gas" won the University of Southern Mississippi's Joan Johnson Award for fiction, 1998.
